SPACE SHUTTLE DOCKS WITH HUBBLE TELESCOPE Jeff Challender writes, I've been trying to keep on top of the STS 109 shuttle mission. The astronauts attached a second powerful 25-foot solar wing to the Hubble Space Telescope on March 5, 2002, with ease. It was the second of five excursions planned this week by space shuttle Columbia's telescope-repair team. Astronaut James Newman said ''Beautiful day for a space walk,'' as he left the shuttle. ''Incredible,'' said Michael Massimino, a first-time space walker. Jeff says I found a real anomaly event that I'll send later. It needs to have a transcript of the audio part to go with the video, and that will take time. However, I have one for you now. It's actually a reflection of the flat end of Hubble Space Telescope in the payload bay camera lens. Some NASA affiliated debunkers have been claiming that the "UFO nuts" (ME??) would surely make hay out of it, so I'm defusing that one right now. Anyone who sends you a p! hoto as a UFO is hoaxing you, and you should be forewarned. The photo could make a pretty convincing "flying saucer" to the untrained eye. I'll try to get you an article on the real story by tomorrow night. It could make a nice current events piece on STS-109.

One thing I noticed during liftoff and ascent though, was that in the moments just before SRB separation, it appeared that there was some "O" Ring leakage in the port side SRB rocket. NEW JERSEY A LARGE BLUE SPHERE OBJECT BRIDGEWATER -- A large blue object sighted in NJ sky by two witnesses on February 14, 2002. Both witnesses are adults and one witness Gordon Dillard is a college student and the other works in law enforcement. An NJ State Employee sent a report to NUFORC, while the other contacted MUFON. I personally talked to the second witness a college student from North Carolina who was driving through New Jersey early in the morning. They report seeing a glowing blue sphere over 40.34N 74.37 W in Somerset County. The witnesses were separated and saw the object from different locations in a fairly clear sky, around 1:00 AM. Gordon reports seeing a solid source of light from rear that was circular. The light was twenty feet in diameter and circular moving from west to east. It appeared to descend below the trees as observed from the highway. It was larger than fireworks, and seemed to be traveling too fast to stop. Gordon said, I! t looked like it landed in the wetlands. east tonortheast of Exit 30, on Route 287. He went to the police station (24) to notify them of the incident, thinking it might have crashed. Gordon felt it moved too fast for a normal aircraft. Didn't seem to have the mass of a normal aircraft. The two individuals in two different localities reported seeing a large blue object about the size of a three-story building going east across the sky descending. Each witness separately provided a sketch of the object. Both sketches match almost identically in every detail even though the witnesses presumably do not know each other and have never met. The duration of sighting by the student was for less than a minute and he thought the object may have crashed in a watery area east of Route 287. Dr. Bruce Cornet is investigating the January 15, and makes the following comments to the witness. "Thanks to the video you sent me and excellent description of the event using a model of the craft. What I didn't realize is that the craft turned right rather than left, which makes sense now that you provided landmarks and visual aids. I suspect the triangle dropped down into the narrow field behind the house at 260 Midland Lake Rd. I also think, based on your detailed description, that the triangle crossed the highway just north of the Nevele Grande billboard and over the pair of Crosses to the east of that billboard. I thank you for the photographs showing many of the landmarks. I didn't realize that the billboard also said that Nevele Grande is in Ellenville, NY. This is important, because as you may recall it was Ellen Crystall who started all of the interest in the Pine Bush Phenomenon and it is the next exit on Rt.! 17 for Rt. 302 that takes you to Pine Bush. Based on your model, the craft you saw is remarkably like the one described by police officers in Illinois during the sightings there in 2000. In the video you sent me you note that Freeze Road. intersects Midland Lake Road. at the base of the hill containing the crosses and billboard. I find that name ironic considering that we have been trying to "freeze" the event you witnessed in description, model, photographs, and satellite images, similar to what Michael Brockhoff did for the Discovery Channel documentary, UFO over Illinois. MARYLAND ROCKET OR MISSILE? BALTIMORE -- Aviation officials are investigating an incident in which something -- possibly a model rocket -- flew near a Southwest Airlines jet as it approached Baltimore, Maryland, on March Sunday night. The pilot of Southwest Flight 454 reported seeing what he thought was a model rocket pass on the left side of the aircraft as the plane was about 12 miles southeast of Baltimore-Washington International Airport at 7:10 p.m. EST, Federal Aviation Administration and Southwest Airlines officials said. The aircraft was about 3,000 feet high at the time, the FAA said. It landed without problem. The incident also has been reported to the FBI, said FAA spokeswoman Arlene Salac. Federal regulations prohibit people from operating model rockets within five miles of any airport and in a manner "that creates a collision hazard with other aircraft." - WEST VIRGINIA FLYING INVERTED CYLINDER MILTON -- The witness and his girlfriend saw an object hanging in the sky over Fife or Puyallup on February 11, 2002. His girlfriend pointed it out. The witness stated, "I tried to reason that it might be a balloon or fire works. At 11:50 PM, my brain raced with reasonable answers but none fit the M.O. I quickly ran and grabbed my camera and took four or five shots. On the last one I braced myself against a pole to hold steady. Maybe that one will turn out. The sky was black, except for the orange glow of this object bouncing and moving erratically around the sky. It would move slow and steady in one direction, then suddenly move quickly about the night sky. It seemed to have no apparent direction in mind. As it moved south we jumped into the truck to follow and parked on 10th Avenue in Milton and watched it moving to the south and east. The orange glow coming from below the object was bright, but would at times glow brig! hter then fade some. It seemed to get eight to ten miles away, then it started moving back toward and to the west of where we were. At it's closest point to us the orange glow faltered then grew stronger. As it grew stronger it instantaneously released a shower of sparks, almost resembling a fire work being shot from the sky toward the ground. This happened twice very quickly. Both pulses of fire could be seen hailing down toward the earth at the same time. There also was a slight audible release when these showers erupted from the object. It sounded like a very soft pop, kind of like popping a finger out of the corner of one's mouth very quietly. We drove toward the Fife Valley for a better look and parked when the object started to move about very rapidly. It made a quick move to the west, so fast that it was almost as if you blinked and it had moved a quarter mile already. We drove less then two city blocks to th! e valley for a better look, but it disappeared into the southern sky in an instant. GEORGIA BRIGHT LIGHT DISK CONYERS -- As the witness walked through his kitchen, a bright light caught my attention outside on February 17, 2002. There in the sky above the tree lines was an object that appeared to move left to right and visa-versa very fast at 10:30 PM. The object had orange, green and blue lights that seemed to rotate as if the object was spinning. I called my son and we watched as this object went from left to right as it ascended upwards into the sky. I ran into another room to get my digital camera so that I could get a photo, but my security alarm sounded and so I was distracted by trying to turn it off. The security company called to verify my password. By the time everything had calmed back down, I ran outside with my camera, but could not focus in on the object. By this time it was high up so I tried focusing with the camera but it just disappeared. Make no mistake, this was no plane, no helicopter! There is no machine that I kn! ow of that could fly as spastic as this thing! The weird thing is that when my alarm sounded it was not even set! I found it very strange that it sounded at the very moment I picked up my camera! LAVONIA -- Two witnesses were on I-85 heading towards Atlanta on February 17, 2002, when they saw what at first appeared to be a plane crashing at 4:00 PM. The object was red with a long tail coming from it. The witness reports "My Mom and I decided that it must be a meteor, however in a few minutes, the tail disappeared and the object began climbing up towards another object in the sky that we had not at first noticed." The two objects were beside one another for a few seconds, then one went straight up into the sky, and the second one began to descend. The one that was climbing up looked kind of like a squid because of the twin trails of smoke coming from behind it. We lost the descending one behind trees in the distance, and the ascending one became blocked from our view by the sun. There were a lot of other cars on the interstate during this event. FLORIDA UFO SIGHTINGS CONTINUE PANAMA CITY -- The witness while fishing ten miles out in the in the Gulf of Mexico, on February 16, 2002, reports seeing jets investigating an object over Gulf. Five unusually slow flying fighter jets heading southeast between us and the coast at 3:00 PM. As they flew further down the coast, we noticed a strange white stationary object above and in front of fighters. The jets looked to be investigating the object.
HAVANA -- The witness reports he was approaching US-27 from the east on a Gadsden County dirt road on February 14, 2002, when he saw a streak of very bright white light in the west at 6:35 AM. It was traveling from the vicinity of Tallahassee in a northern direction at a very high rate of speed. It was dawn and there were no stars visible at that time of the morning. The streak lasted for a second or two. It had a very bright point followed by a trail of light. It streaked across the sky, then made a sudden 90 degree turn to the left. POMPANO BEACH -- On Sunday, February 24, 2002, on a clear blue sunny sky the witness was sitting in his backyard at around 4:20 PM when a flock of what seemed to be baby crows flew over and landed on the telephone wires above his head. He looked up and saw a cigar shaped object just to the right of where he were watching the birds. This object was an orange cylinder or cigar-shaped with a yellow tip. The witnesses watched this object fly from east to west and almost directly overhead when they were distracted for a couple seconds and it completely disappeared from the sky. This couldn't have flown off in any other direction. We walked around the whole duplex and could see for miles, but nothing was in sight not even a plane. The birds had flown off in fright when the back door suddenly swung open and the object was still visible. I have never had birds in my backyard in such numbers either. OHIO RED UFO PLUNGES INTO LAKE ERIE CLEVELAND -- "It was first thought to be a downed helicopter, then a meteor shower, but whichever it was caused the U.S. Coast Guard to launch a rescue boat Wednesday, February 13, 2002, and search Lake Erie off the mouth of the Black River." " Sightings of red lights or flashes thought to be two miles (3 kilometers offshore) from the Elyria Water Work started being reported on Lorain (Ohio) police radio transmissions around 8 p.m." "'We're out there doing search patterns,' said a dispatcher for the Lorain Coast Guard station, but nothing was reported being found late last night." " Lorain police dispatchers said they had nothing to report." " Lights from helicopters or possibly commercial planes were later seen in the air above where the Coast Guard boat combed the waters." " Also traveling the airways were reports of unusual lights being seen from Bay Village to Toledo, and Coast Guard radio traffic indicated a he! licopter had been dispatched to take a look along the (lake) shore." KENTUCKY AGILE FLASHING CRAFT DRY RIDGE -- The witness says, "We were driving on route 25 south toward Cincinnati and saw what appeared to be very small jet airplanes with flashing lights that were much faster and somehow different from regular aircraft on February 17, 2002." These "jets" were flying faster than other planes. We saw one next to a regular airplane and it seemed very small, fast and agile. At 10:00 PM, we saw three going from north to south within approximately 20 seconds of each other and then throughout the hour we saw periodic "jets" in the area. The craft did make a very quiet jet like sound. These were much faster and more agile than normal planes. The "jet" had one red light that stayed on consistently and then a flashing red light and two white strobing lights. The speed, agility and strobing lights are what differ from regular planes. UTAH SPHERE SALT LAKE CITY -- Dave Rosenfeld reports a small object showed up while out doing our Flyby skywatch today at around 2:13 PM for four minutes. It showed up again at 2:19 to 2:33 PM, flying east really slowly till it went over the mountain towards Emigration Canyon. I was using my 500 mm lens at f~ 5.6, and took ten to twelve pictures? There was a couple photos with the object by the moon. It was a shiny silvery object with an estimated size of 20 feet in diameter. It did not make fantastic moves or anything, just a slow hover-like movement. I was quite surprised since I didn't expect anything to show up, but I'm glad I watched. OREGON DISK CRAFT FORMS TRIANGLE PORTLAND -- The witness reports three craft suddenly popped into view at 7:00 PM, forming a triangle on February 8, 2002. The craft would fluctuate in position and sometimes freeze in position. The right corner craft would leave the formation and slowly follow the air traffic lane, which goes right through there, then suddenly reappear near the triangle again. The witness noticed a red glow on the ground and sometimes electricity could be seen around the red light on the ground. Then a small red light would come out of it and seem to float to a craft alongside the triangle hovering amongst the tree top level. The receiving craft and one of the triangle craft would brighten and twinkle when this would happen. Then the right corner craft would slowly leave and follow the air path again ... and reappear a few minutes later. This was a movement pattern repeated several times. We were building up feelings of hatred, telling them to ! go home, and when we would project this at them, and twice I saw them *duck* or swoop, as if avoiding a projectile. I have noticed single craft in that area for a couple of years now, but this was the first show with multiple craft.
KLAMATH FALLS -- The witness reports seeing a wing shaped UFO with several lights or reflections on February 17, 2002. The craft soared like a bird, but not in a straight path at 12:40 AM. He saw the object for about one minute but it made no sound. The UFO moved very fast and the shape of the wing seemed to change as if there were pivot points. There was no fuselage only wings. The witness stated, "I have no idea what it could be, but these objects were definitely mechanical. OREGON BORDER -- An array of lights was reported to the UFO Research team near the Nevada, California border on February 12, 2002. Jean Eric Byler reports 16 miles south of Ft. Bidwell there were a few sightings over Fee Reservoir. Bright orange lights were seen by a man soaking in his hot tub around 7:45 PM. His attention was drawn to a bright orange light suddenly appearing in the northeast that was visible for about two seconds. It was just on and off. This was followed in turn by two lights, one light, three lights, one light, two lights, etc. Perhaps a total of about a dozen lights. They were miles apart and not associated with any populated area or roads. He called to his wife and she also saw three lights appear at once and she felt they were not naturally occurring phenomena. The last light seen that night occurred when the man was reporting his sightings to me via telephone, at 8:00 PM. The couple also call! ed a friend that lived in the town to the north and asked them to look outside. The man went outside and saw the object at 8:00 PM. A sighting, several years ago, was filmed with a video camera for two seconds before the couple tried to zoom in on the objects. The camera lost focus, but the existing footage was sent to Jeff Sainio to be analyzed. Jeff estimated the lights to be from a UFO approximately 750 feet in diameter. The first and possibly only photo documentation of UFOs and abductions occurring together was in this area. Many of these events have had multiple witnesses, some with photo documentation. WASHINGTON SAUCER SHAPED OBJECT WITH A RING AROUND IT OLYMPIA -- The witness reports seeing a large saucer shaped object on February 9, 2002, which appeared to have a ring around it. It's color changed somewhat from the color of the moon to a soft amber at 9:15 PM. It hovered over a distant hill in the state forest, which is unpopulated and a wilderness. We watched the object move to different positions within the same area without a sound. At one point we thought the object was coming towards us, but it reverted back to its' position over the hill. CANADA FLYING TRIANGLE KING CITY, ONTARIO -- I saw a large triangular outline of red and white lights that seemed to hover and then move very slowly pass my car on February 13, 2002. I was driving westbound on the King sideroad and as I approached the traffic lights at Jane St. at 8:00 PM, I saw a large, stationary, triangular object. I could not actually see a solid object but rather the impression of an object was created due to a triangular pattern of lights. The lights were white, red and a third color (blue or green). The lights seemed to be over a major Highway 400 so I thought it was a traffic plane. When I stopped at the traffic lights and the object didn't move I thought it might be a helicopter. It was the large outline (roughly hand size) and the triangular shape that made me wonder if it was in fact something else. As I left the traffic lights and continued to the overpass I was able to watch the object pass from my front to my driver's side window. I was driving very! slowly and the object may have been moving very slowly in the opposite direction. I lost sight of the object as I descended the other side of the overpass. All of my window's were closed but my radio was not on. I do not remember hearing any noises.
BURLINGTON -- The witness was out smoking on the porch at 9:00 PM, on February 13, 2002, and noticed an X shape object high in the sky. At first, it was hardly visible until it suddenly burst into flames. It quickly flew down far in the distance, with a white flash, and no sound was heard. PRINCE GEORGE -- Brian Vike received a long distance call from Vanderhoof, British Columbia just a while ago and these two witnesses watched three bright lights just a few kilometers south of Prince George, British Columbia. Plus there were others who already had pulled over to the side of the road to view these lights on February, 15, 2002 at around 11:30 PM. CHILI CYLINDER DIVES INTO THE SEA PUNTA ARENAS -- Rodrigo Fuenzalida, president of AION group the most important research UFO group of Chile) and Director of Chilean MUFON writes, "On February 17, 2002, a family made one very interesting video of the UFO over the sea in the Straights of Magellan. The video shows one cigar shape very clear to 150 meters from the witness. It had two lights on each end of the object and it disappeared into the sea. The lights changed color and appeared to change the structure in a strange way. The Chilean Navy does not have an explanation for the sighting. Thanks to Rodrigo Fuenzalida. ENGLAND CIRCLE OF LIGHTS GATWICK AIRPORT -- A retired telecom engineer Jerry Horlan, stood in his Broadfield kitchen at 5:00 AM on January 31, and he was gripped by an eerie sense that he was not alone. He was astounded to see a circle of strange lights hovering over the south side of Gatwick Airport. He explained: "I had been up all night and was just making myself a cup of coffee when I saw something very strange out of the window. "Hovering over the south side of the airport were 12 bright lights circling slowly round. "I just could not believe what I was witnessing." The father-of-two tracked the objects for more than an hour until dawn began to break last Thursday morning and the lights slowly moved away from the airport and disappeared. Mr. Horlan, 58, who lives in Farnham Close, Broadfield, continued: "It was a unique experience. I have traveled all around the world and never seen anything like that before. "I am not saying it was definitely a UFO but! it would be good to get some sortof explanation to account for what I saw." The skies over Gatwick Airport have seen a number of close encounters over the years with witnesses reporting seven suspected UFO sightings alone in the summer of 1996. This prompted skywatcher Larry Dean, from Brighton's Skysearch agency to suggest aliens were watching Gatwick to study earthly air travel. But Government officials and BAA have continued to dismiss these strange events and refused to recognize the existence of UFOs. Commenting on the latest spotting, a BAA spokesman said: "We have run a check and can report nothing out of the ordinary at that time, but we have passed the information on to air traffic control which is looking into it." LIFE ON MARS For life to be present on Mars scientists agree that there must first be water. The Odyssey spacecraft is now surveying for evidence of underground water and new analysis indicates water is abundant on Mars particularly in the South Pole area. My photo analysis of ancient forts, geometric construction, temples indicate life was once abundant on Mars and may have actually gone underground. We may have to wait for men actually visiting the ancient sites to gather real proof. Based on my photo analysis I believe there has been life on Mars because of the presence of alien artifacts and unnatural formations that include Cydonia. I agree that that this is one of the most provocative enigmas confronted in the history of science. I admit there are many geologic and natural forces working on Mars that defy explanation. Last week, Art Bell's Radio show discussed various anomalies that can be seen on his website at www.artbell.com. Howev! er, my analysis is not based on the anomalies shown here which are probably natural. My primary data is based on the Russian Phobos 2 IR images showing what appears to an underground city. Phobos data, released on Canadian TV, presents an infrared scan radiometer image of the Martian surface that showed clearly defined rectangular areas. These are interconnected with a latticework of perfectly straight lines that resemble city blocks, underground temples, reservoirs and manufacturing complexes. The heat signature of what may be a set of underground caverns or channels are just too geometrically regular to be formed naturally. According to Dr. John Becklake of the London Science Museum, "The city-like pattern is 60 kilometers wide and could be easily be mistaken for an aerial view of Los Angeles." INDEPENDENT-INTERNATIONAL PICTURES WINS OLDEST KNOWN UFO PHOTO At the end of the E-bay online auction of March 4, 2002, Independent-International Pictures Corp. president Samuel M. Sherman announced that his company had won at auction the oldest known UFO photograph. After several days of feverish bidding, Sherman won the photo for his company in the last 50 seconds of the auction with a final high bid of $385. The photograph is a winter 1870 stereo (3-D) view of clouds over Mount Washington in New Hampshire. Plainly and sharply visible in the photo is a long cigar-like object. Since this is before known manned flight (with the exception of balloons - which this is not) the object will have to be ruled as a solid Unidentified Flying Object. Structure to this solid object is clearly and sharply seen in some detail as is the reflection of the sun off the object. The stereo view presents two images (for right and left eye) which will be helpful in further analysis of it. Sherman reported that due t! o the sharpness of the image it will lend itself to further copying and enlargement for study. Sherman also stated that this photograph will not be locked up in some collection, but will be submitted to scientists for detailed analysis and the results made available to the public, which he says wants answers to the UFO mystery. Sherman states that the debunkers are already circling around the photo on the internet, even though they have only been able to see poor low resolution computer images and not photographic enlargements of the actual photo. He expects this photo to be very controversial for a long time still to come. Sherman and Independent-International Pictures Corp. have already produced the Edwards Air Force Base Encounter, one hour audio documentary of the UFO alert at Edwards Air Force Base in 1965 (www.edwardsufo.com). Since 1992 a feature film docudrama has been in research and production. It is called, "BEYOND THIS EARTH" and concerns extraterrestrial visitation of Planet Earth. Filming for this movie has taken place internationally as well as the acquisition of UFO footage from locations all over the world. The most amazing part of this project was the 1993 expedition which sent up a plane with photographic, motion picture and video equipment to ! successfully pursue and imag! e UFOs over Northern California. ASTRONAUTS REPAIR HUBBLE TELESCOPE AS ANOMALIES PASS Jeff Challender writes, I've been trying to keep on top of March 5, 2002, STS 109 shuttle mission. The astronauts have repaired the Hubble Space Telescope and a reflection of the flat end of Hubble Space Telescope in the payload bay camera lens showed a possible UFO. Sorry the photo could make a pretty convincing "flying saucer" to the untrained eye. There was an anomalous event on STS-109, during the HST capture. I must get you a copy of it. It's laughable! There were strobing objects, two of which were flying in formation, and the Capcom was trying his damnedest to get the Shuttle commander Scott Altman to make some sort of remark about it, and he more or less sidestepped the issue. He said he really didn't look out the windows with a critical eye, and tried to leave it at that. The Capcom kept at it, and he still wouldn't commit. It was like the old saying. One of my fellow Disclosure Project witnesses, Mr. Harland Bentley says: "I have been in a graduate program for nuclear engineering…and have been working contracts since 1963: NASA, Department of Energy, and several other electronics firms in the DC area. I was at a facility in California….doing classified work…which I can't say too much about…..Our astronauts were doing a loop around the moon… in 1967 or 1968…I heard them say they had a bogey [term used to denote UFOs]…it was another type of ship. There were portals there that they could see in. They could see beings of some sort. They did not describe these beings, they just took photographs. They just said it was a saucer shaped craft. MARS HAS VAST AREAS OF WATER PASADENA -- We have been telling the readers of these files for years that water abounds on Mars. NASA's Mars Odyssey spacecraft has now found strong evidence of vast areas of Mars have water. The water is believed to be ice mixed in with the dirt, dust and rock that form the top three feet of the planet's surface. William Boynton of the University of Arizona and chief scientist for the spacecraft instrument that measures the abundance of hydrogen says. "The suggestion that water is present in such quantities could bolster the theory that the planet could have harbored life." `The results are exceeding our expectations,'' said Roger Gibbs, the Odyssey deputy project manager for JPL. Odyssey, even though it is less than two weeks into a mapping mission expected to last at least 917 days, is already changing scientists' view of the planet, said R. Stephen Saunders, Odyssey project scientist for JPL. The spacecraft is intended to map the chemical and elemental makeup of the Martian surface and hunt for water and hot springs that could indicate geothermal activity. Another instrument, designed to measure the planet's radioactive environment and the risks it may hold for any future astronauts, has malfunctioned. However, initial data collected before the instrument ceased working suggests that en route to Mars, astronauts would be bombarded with about twice as much radiation as are the crew members orbiting the Earth. MARS MASK SIMILAR TO FACE FOUND ON NSA IMAGES Robert Collins writes... What the viewer sees in the image in the below link is a picture of a wooden "MASK:" Pictures of this "wooden mask" came from Bill Moore in 1994. There is a big story behind how Bill got those pictures which will be divulged at a later time. The bottom half of the picture shows what has been determined to be "National Security Agency" (NSA) and USAF labels on the lower back bottom of the wooden mask or, "NSA #731" and "USAF-DOD SK (SIC?) 557 or 237" (note, this is even harder to read on a JPG image). As one source just said, "the reason NSA had it is because this same face appeared in a figure photographed on the Martian surface in 1978. This same face (and similar impression) was photographed on the ground ~300 miles northeast of the other face that was photographed on Mars. " Robert Collins says, "I keep thinking of the Fish Gods talked about in Sumerian/Abyssian legends ...ala Zecharia Sitchin ... Also, my theory is the Aliens created these figures/structures (if they prove to be real) on the surface of Mars to give us "hints" just like the "hints" with crop circles. NEW YORK INVESTIGATION CONTINUES PINE BUSH -- Dr. Bruce Cornet is investigating recent sightings of a triangular and diamond-shaped craft have been spotted along Route 52 between Flurry Road and Pine Bush, and on Route 17 (Gareth, on February 13, 2002) between exit 120 for Middletown and exit 119 for Pine Bush (Salvatore Cirami, 12 Jan. 2002). Further investigation reveals the craft flew over Freeze Road. The craft flipped onto it's left side, and traveled in a vertical orientation for a short distance before making a hard left turn -- a "right angle" turn to the left. Mr. Cirami was able to see the lights on the bottom of the triangle because the craft flipped vertical before turning. Once it turned northwest, the top of the craft blocked the lights. Then the triangle rotated into a horizontal mode, followed by it dropping like a rock out of sight into a field. That field was correctly identified by Mr. Ciramin on aerial photographs after he went back to the location and retraced his steps. The craft did not drop down over any concrete landing platform. What looks like a concrete platform on the aerial photograph is actually a very large building with a light colored roof, which is located on top of the hill where the sign and crosses are located. Hope this clears up the confusion. It is important for your readers to realize that these types of performances appear to be staged events. The triangle disappeared in as unlikely an area for such a large craft as the many craft I have witnessed near Montgomery, NY, disappearing into farm fields between tree rows. You have witnessed it with me. I suspect that these areas were chosen by ETI to indicate where skywatchers should go if they want to resume sky watching again. Off of Midland Lakes Road is a short dead-end road called, Freeze Road. It has a culdesac right next to Route 17, as well as a pull-off and bench for people to sit at. To the north is a hill, upon which rests a large billboard sign for Nevele Grande hotel in Ellenville. I don't know of any similar pull- off along Route 52, which has a similar good vista for viewing aerial craft. Pine Bush enacted an ordinance to stop skywatching, or at least give the police a law which they could enforce whenever the need arose to arrest people who were causing a problem. Since 1997 the farm fields on the east side of West Searsville Road have been heavily developed. The area is just too developed for skywatching, which means that other areas need to be scouted and found. MARYLAND FLYING TRIANGLE PHOTOGRAPHED BALTIMORE -- On March 6, 2002, Bill Bean was leaving home at 8:45 PM, and noticed a slow moving bright, white light, in the northern sky. Bill reached for his camera, and took three shots. He then drove to Liberty Gardens Road. Bill says, "As I was stopped at the light, I saw the object once again, and it was moving very slow to the south and was much lower this time, so I watched it cross the sky, turn right, and circle back toward me." The craft was moving very slow until it passed in front of me, then it made a sudden burst of speed before making the circle back. It looked very light in the air, like it was playing around in the sky. I turned right and stopped the car to watch in absolute amazement as the craft passed by again it was even lower. It flew over the office buildings and the lights from the parking lots, and buildings allowed me to see this thing clearly. It was a black flying triangle craft, with three big, white lights [one on each corner], and a red/orange flashing light in the center. The most amazing part of the sighting came when the triangle craft tilted on its side to reveal the underside. I was shooting photo after photo [I shot 15 in all]. SOUTH CAROLINA TRIANGULAR FORMATION IRMO -- On February 6, 2002, the witness noticed white lights visible from Interstate 26 westbound at Route 76 exit. Two or three side by side lights did not appear to be moving. As we got off the Interstate, heading southwest on 76, we saw that the lights were ahead of us, over the Dutch Fork Elementary School. As we passed to the southeast of the lights, I was looking almost straight up at them and saw they were three white lights in an equilateral triangular formation, with a red flashing light in the middle. I had not seen the red light until I was looking up at the object from underneath. The lights began moving slowly southeast towards Columbia. The red center light was blinking once every second or two, but not constantly. It would appear to stop for a few seconds and then start. The object flew below the horizon towards the southeast at a couple thousand feet up, but the pattern of lights seemed too big for a helicopter. KENTUCKY UFO SIGHTING OVER POWER PLANTS MAYSVILLE -- A National UFO Reporting Center anonymous report states that around 7:00 p.m. on February 2, 2002, a "chevron-shaped" object was sighted "patrolling" between power plants on both the Ohio and Kentucky sides of the Ohio River. Investigator Ken Young, determined these are Killen and Stuart power stations, both operated by the Dayton Power & Light Company. On the Kentucky side of the river, the station was identified as the East Bend Kentucky Power Plant. I then contacted the Mason County Sheriff's office and the Maysville City Police Department but nothing was reported' there. I then called the East Bend, Kentucky power station at 606-883-3165 and talked with the chief security guard at the plant. He confirmed from their log books that an unusual incident DID indeed take place. The security chief said that the guard, also an officer with the Maysville police department, was on duty at the security office and logged the sighting of an unidentified aircraft. The guard wrote the following notes in his Activity Report: "APPROXIMATELY 1900 HOURS, 2/2/02, AN UNKNOWN AIRCRAFT FLYING TOWARD THE POWER PLANT. IT WAS VERY CLOSE WHEN IT TURNED SOUTHWEST, FLYING AROUND THE PLANT. NOTIFIED SUPERVISOR." The security supervisor was leery of planes flying near the power station during this time of terrorist concern across America. I placed a call to the Maysville Police Department, to speak with the officer that logged the unusual sighting. I can't tell you what it was," the officer said, describing the object as moving slowly toward the plant while he was on duty around 7:00 p.m. The officer said that he was seated at the main gate with the river to his left and the power plant behind him as the silent object approached. The "unknown aircraft," he said, was composed of three multicolored lights in a triangular formation. These lights were red, green and white. He said that due to darkness, he could not discern structure behind the lighting. He did stress that the object seemed closer than usual for an airplane, and moving at a slow steady pace. He also added that while not being a good judge of heights, the object was close enough to be of some concern. The Dayton Power & Light Company's Killen Station on Us Route 52 in Manchester, Ohio informed that there was no guard on duty during the night. The Stuart Station, also on US Route 52 in Manchester, said that she was aware of numerous people at the plant who spotted "something in the sky" a few weeks back. She did not see the object, but heard about it and the sighting had many at the plant people "talking." The East Bend Power station and the Stuart station are coal fired. This is a very significant event due to the recent terrorist events and alerts that have alarmed the nation. WISCONSIN REPORT: MENOMONEE FALLS, WAUKESHA COUNTY -- Allen T reports on February 27, 2002, the witness says, "My daughter and I had just dropped off my son at a Boy Scout meeting and turned onto Main Street in Menomonee Falls heading east towards home at 6:55 PM. We both saw a brightly lit object coming down at a rapid speed approximately at a 250 degree angle. It only lasted a few seconds and seemed to disappear over Lake Michigan. We looked at each other in disbelief. It looked like a flaming jet crashing, but it was moving too fast. Makes you wonder? NIGHT SKY ASHGROVE -- The witness reports that on February 27, 2002, at about 10:12 PM, my daughter called me into her room and said, look at that! I looked out the window and saw an object the size of a softball at arm's length in the northern sky at ten degrees above the horizon. It shot straight up to about 30 degrees and seemed to float back down. It appeared to be flat with a raised top, had a red strobe like light on top the size of an eraser on a pencil, and white light on each end or edge. The craft made no sound and accomplished many very fast maneuvers and went straight up and disappeared, not out of sight, it just flashed out. ARKANSAS BRIGHT OBJECT ROTATES AND CHANGE COLORS BEE BRANCH -- On February 13, 2002, the witness saw an object that he thought was most likely a weather balloon. I know it is not a celestial object, like anything I have ever seen. At 8:00 PM my brother-in-law and I were atop east mountain looking at the moon with his 10 inch reflector scope. We were waiting for it to get darker for better viewing of deep space objects to add to our catalog of observed bodies. While looking at the Orion nebula I noticed a bright reddish star due south just above the horizon, at about 8-10 degrees. The object appeared to be stationary and seemed to be white alternating red, like it was pulsing or rotating. After a few minutes Jim turned the scope on the object and to our amazement it was showing all the colors of the spectrum, with even a greater degree of rotation. It appeared to be moving at almost the same speed as with the earth's rotation. After thirty minutes, I went home and called the Little Rock air base to see if it was indeed a weather balloon. They gave me the UFO hotline # so that I could report the sighting. I called and left a message, then went back to the mountain. The object was still there but slightly more to the west. We started looking at other deep space objects and noticed that by 10:30 PM the object was gone. We knew it was no celestial object that we had ever seen. Thanks to Peter Davenport
NUFORC OKLAHOMA SIGHTING LAWTON -- Bill Hickman writes he received a report from the witness who on March 3, 2002, stated, "I took a photo on the west edge of Lawton just minutes ago. I was returning from some late night shopping at the local Wal-Mart and noticed these objects in the distance moving around the sky rather erratically. When I got closer to home I realized these objects were moving in my direction so when I got home I ran inside and grabbed my digital camera. I ran back outside, and snapped only one picture before they sped out of sight. MUFON's Dr. Bruce MacCabee is looking at the photo now and we should have a preliminary report soon. TEXAS TROUBLE Bill Clark writes, "If you doubt the government has a dark secret having something to do with UFO's read on. I am one of the most respectable engineers you'll find anywhere - I'm a licensed Professional Engineer in several disciplines; I've published two textbooks with McGraw Hill; I attended the US Naval Academy; and was awarded the Army's highest peacetime award for my activities at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico fifteen years ago. I stake my reputation on the following: Three months ago I was a top Ph.D., student in Aerospace Engineering at the top orbital mechanics group in the world. I had passed my written qualifying exams and all the formal courses I needed for a Ph.D. with a 3.8 GPA. I had also completed my dissertation, an optimization of the Earth to Mars trajectory. Three months ago I submitted a short paper on some research I had done into a possible scientific basis for how UFO's work. The last ninety days have pure, unadulterated hell. Within a month of my writing this paper (published last fall by an Australian Ufology magazine), I was expelled from the University. I have appealed the dismissal, but the University is doing everything in their power to stop me. I've submitted two dockets of favorable evaluations of my research from experts in celestial mechanics, orbital mechanics, and optimization all over the world. They would not accept them. I appealed this blatant act of obstruction to the Dean of the Engineering College, the Dean of the Graduate College, the President of the University, members of the Board of Regents, my Texas State Senator and the Texas Board of Professional Engineers. The rejection was unanimous and overwhelming. Likewise with my appeals to ABET (the licensing agency for college engineering programs), the US Department of Education (their Dallas Office of Civil Rights), my two US Senators and my US Congressman, Ron Paul. They were even uglier than the Texas folks. Like I said, I have a worldwide reputation in certain engineering circles -- most notable energy conservation and electrical design. It says a lot that the authorities would break so many rules, so obviously, and with such malice and such disregard for my reputation, and my legal status as a Professional Engineer. ARIZONA RED MOON APACHE JUNCTION -- On February 16, 2002, I was in my two story bedroom, attempting to close the blinds at 9:30 PM. I glanced outside to the west to the Mesa-Phoenix City lights. I looked and looked and saw what I thought was part of the moon with a red light underneath. (like when the sun goes down in the west and there is a red sky and the sun shines on a mountain.) I took a double take...then I ran downstairs and went to the front of my home and looked to see if I saw the same thing I did in the window. It was there! I went back to get my daughter and when we came back, it was gone! I went immediately to the TV for any reports, but there was nothing on TV or in the paper. I can't believe that no one saw this. NUFORC http://www.ufocenter.com WASHINGTON FLYING INVERTED CYLINDER MILTON -- CORRECTION: Last week we reported an inverted cylinder was seen near Milton by a witness and his girlfriend on February 11, 2002, at 11:50 PM. The actual sighting took place in Milton, Washington not Milton, West Virginia. The witness took five photos. The sky was black, except for the orange glow of this object bouncing and moving erratically around the sky. It would move slow and steady in one direction, then suddenly move quickly about the night sky. As it moved south we jumped into the truck to follow and parked on 10th Avenue in Milton and watched it moving to the south and east. The orange glow coming from below the object was bright, but would at times glow brighter then fade some. It seemed to get eight to ten miles away, then it started moving back toward and to the west of where we were. At it's closest point to us the orange glow faltered then grew stronger. CANADA BRITISH COLUMBIA SIGHTINGS CONTINUE Brian Vike reports he received four new sighting reports on March 9, 2002. There has been sixteen reports coming in for northern BC in a little over a month. For 2001, I received six reports for the whole year. I will be heading out shortly to talk to some of the folks, and to look around the areas where this has taken place.
VANDERHOOF -- The two witnesses reported that the bright lights looked as if they were on a landing (meaning an area which has been logged and now clear of timber) on February 1, 2002 . They reported that these lights flashed on and off repeatedly and moving around too fast for a night logging operation. On February 28, 2002, near daybreak they saw the same lights again. The lights were approximately 13 miles east out of Vanderhoof, BC heading towards Prince George on Langston Road. Both times these lights were observed, the witnesses thought they were seeing someone logging using one of the big machines as the lights were so bright. The witness told me her husband had made a call to the Forestry Services to inquire. The Forestry said there was no one logging at all in that area (on either occasion).
KITWANGA -- The witness tells me he saw the bright light on Highway #37 about sixty kilometers north about 4:45 AM in late February 2002. There is a large swampy area off to the left and through the trees he saw the reflection of the moon on the water. The fellow went on to say that there was a very, very bright light in the swamp. His impression of what he saw was a gas station canopy lit up as it was so bright. He mentioned he saw the light 3 times while slowly driving down the highway in the space through the trees. The light would disappear and reappear and he had a good view of it very distinctly the second time. He described the light as an orange/yellow in color. The light was huge and as far as he knew there was nothing what so ever in the area. He said the bright light was stationary and did not move an inch. I asked how far the light was positioned in the sky and he said either it was sitting on the ground or just above it.
TERRACE -- The witness reported to me that he is a body builder and was doing his cardio workout the morning of March 4, 2002, when he saw a star shoot across the sky and came to a complete stop at 5:30 - 5:45 AM. It did a loop in the sky and then went straight up and disappeared. I informed him that colored stars do not do loop in the sky! It was like a star, but a very bright star with a blue, green red color to it that lasted only ten seconds. Weather conditions were clear and it flew from east to west.
TERRACE -- On the evening of March 8, 2002, the witness reports seeing a most unusual circle of really bright lights for five minutes. "We live ten minutes from the airport and these lights were not from a plane, these were most set of lights I have every seen." This took place in the evening between 9:00 and 10:30 PM. He said, "This is the first time I have seen what I believe to be a UFO!"
KITIMAT -- On March 5th, around 8:45 PM amateur astronomers were looking at the star chart in the latest issue of the Star News magazine. The couple and their nine year old son saw a bright light with a red and orange layer going straight down. The object had a tail like a ball of fire and disappeared behind a tree situated roughly towards Mt. Elizabeth a 5,500 foot mountain fifteen miles northeast. ARGENTINA LATIN AMERICA REPORTS UFO FLAP TARTAGAL -- The Electric Warrior reveals that Latin American newspapers have reported a number of UFO sightings that are presumably occurring in neighboring regions of Argentina and Chile. A UFO photograph captured in the Cachi region of Argentina last year is said to correspond with recent eyewitness testimony. The Argentine newspaper that published the photo said the image was clear and startling. A student who filmed a UFO with a family camcorder said she came forward only after reading about a delegation of specialists who were assembled to study the strange sightings, which are reportedly occurring in the Salta region of Argentina on a daily basis. Translations were provided by the Institute of Hispanic Ufology (IHU)
CALAMA -- A student managed to capture a UFO on film on February 15, 2002. (El Tribuno) - "All I want is for these images to be analyzed and digitized by experts who have the necessary technology with which to decipher this mysterious UFO which after the three minutes of filming and the total of six, seven or ten minutes it was there, vanished at an unreal speed toward the north." Another A spectacular UFO sighting was made by the Calama UFO Center's director, Jaime Ferrer, who managed to capture the object with a digital camera. UNITED KINGDOM: FLYING TRIANGLE TRACKED Southern England -- A Flying Triangle was tracked across England on March 3, 2002. UFO investigator David Kingston received reports of a bizarre triangular craft with red and blue lights, zooming across the skies from Cornwall to Poole. The mystery machine was first spotted in St. Austell. There were also reports of it not far from Lyme Regis later the same day, then over Portland and Poole. Mr. Kingston, who first witnessed unexplained flying objects while serving with an RAF intelligence unit during nuclear tests in the Pacific, is at a loss to explain the latest sightings. He says: "I received a number of consistent reports of a craft flying over the West country on February 15 and there is nothing like it in the world aircraft guide. It was said to be triangular, 100 feet long with red lights all the way up on the right hand side and blue lights on the left hand side. "Underneath was what appeared to be a very large light, in the middle, glowing pale electric blue through to purple with a corona surrounding it. "Four or five people witnessed it and described it as gliding silently at about 2,500 feet. It was described as hovering quietly at Portland. The last sighting was near Poole, about two hours after the first." Kingston first heard aircrew talk of seeing UFOs, during the nuclear tests on Christmas Island in 1957, he has catalogued hundreds of reports and witnessed many strange sights himself. MONSELICE (PADUA) -- According to the statement made to the press by Antonello Lupino of the International UFO Center, the object sighted at very low altitude by two women in on the evening of last 3 August was gigantic and was even photographed by a meteorological satellite.
