| HAUNTED HOUSE IN MISSOURI GHOST IN THE HOUSE Listen Here to BUFO Audio on This Haunting - Now only available in Membership Part One Part Two « Thread started on: Oct 4th, 2003, 4:01pm » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My name is Shirley Jones and I was born in a little town called Hopewell Mississippi. In 1963 at the age of 13 my parents decided to moved to St Louis Missouri. There I met and married my husband and had four children. We decided in 1987 to buy our first house, in a neighborhood not far from where we lived. I personally have never believed in the supernatural until we bought the house at 1413 Dodier. From the first day after we moved into the house we started experiencing strange phenomenal happenings. The very first day our dog refused to enter the house, he was scared, he had never been afraid of anything. He had always went everywhere we went happily except for this house. One week after moving in we lost him, he died. I personally came face to face with the ghost several times and I'll never forget it as long as I live. Our eldest daughter nearly had a nervous breakdown, we had caught her several times talking to no one and when we ask her whom she was talking to, her reply was the ghost, even to this day she is affected. Our eldest son had a very bad experience with the ghost and would hear them talking. My brother moved in with us but the voices got to him and after two months he had to move out to keep his sanity. Our youngest daughter had several experiences with several ghost, some good and some bad. I have spoken to people since I wrote the book (Ghosts In The House), and discovered that there are people who have had experiences but are afraid of being ridiculed if they tell anyone so they keep silent. I am speaking of out standing people in the community. At first I was skeptical about writing my book, afraid of what non believers might think of my family or say disgracing my family. With my husband and children’s support I wrote about the eight years we lived at the house on Dodier. Look on the right hand side of the pic and there is a hooded robed thing... http://photos2.ghostweb.com/fern1.html They never get much detail, but interesting anyhow. They call this one a hooded monk...I don't know if I ever told you, my room mate saw a "hooded monk" in this house shortly after her Grandmother passed away here. She told me that's how she knew her Grandmother had gone...after seeing the hooded monk.
