| WISCONSIN UFO REPORTS 2000 Occurred : 12/31/2000 23:45 Location: Eagle River, WI Shape: Light Duration:unsure 2 large pulsating stationary red/grn lights with 6 balls of light moving rapidly below this,300ft away,<200ft high over lake in WI. I saw what I believe to be one and or several UFO's while at our cottage, located on the NE Shoreline of Anvil Lake(approx 8 miles East of Eagle River )in Wisconsin.Our lake is approx 390 acres, and most of the residents there are seasonal(as are we)therefore, there are very few residents on the lake in the winter.What I saw occured on 12/31 @ approx 1145pm(and no, I had had nothing stonger than diet-pepsi to drink,despite the fact that it was New Years Eve).I was the only person in our cottage, as everyone else was out celebrating NY Eve, and I had decided to stay there and read a book.I was sitting in a lazyboy chair.The view from this chair overlooks the lake(the shoreline is 75 ft from our cottage),with an 8 ft glass patio door facing the lake.I have vertical blinds covering the glass,and the blinds were almost completely closed.As I was sitting down,reading,I saw a bright neon green stream of light shoot by(I could see this through the sm openings that remained on the blinds).I then saw a bright red stream of light go by, and it looked to me like it was a short distance from the shoreline over the lake.I got up from the chair and approached the patio door, fully expecting that someone who was staying on the lake was shooting off fireworks in anticipation of celebrating NY eve at midnight.I peeked out of the blinds(I didn't actually open them up)and saw what was approx 6 bright balls of light, that looked to be about a foot in diameter.Some of these were a very bright red, and the others were a bright neon green.They were moving rapidly and seemed to be leaving trails of light behind them.(The most accurate comparison I can make to this is that they looked like when a child plays with a sparkler on the 4th of July, where one can see the trail of where the tip of the sparkler has been).These balls of light were traveling very fast,but staying in one general area directly in front of our cottage.They were approx 300 ft away from me,over the lake,and approx 150 ft high.They were moving in that one are! a,changi ng directions rapidly, making loops, etc,but never left that one area,They never actually descended down to the ice, nor traveled away from there(to me they almost seemed to be electrically charged or something).A second or two after I first observed all the balls of light,I looked directly above them and saw 2 large stationary lights.These lights were directly above all the moving balls of light, and were about 3 ft in diameter/2 feet high each. The stationary lights were the same color red and green as the things below them, but were flashing or pulsating.They looked identical to one another in size and were at the exact same height(there was about 75 ft distance inbetween these large lights).It was very difficult to see an exact shape, as it's very dark on the lake, and because of the brightness of the larger lights it was almost like looking at headlights on bright, where it's difficult to distinguish what's around the lights, but I thought I saw a rim of dark grey metal along the backside of the large lights.The metal appeared to have multiple slats along the edge, as though they were vents of some sort, and I got the impression that it was the outer edge of something, and that the 2 large lights were connected/part of this metal thing.The balls of light continued to travel in the same area directly below the stationary lights,never going above the big lights,nor any further than about 30 ft to the left or right of the big lights(I got the impression that they were shooting along the outside of some larger thing connected to the 2 large pulsating lights).Once I noticed the metal along the back edge,I became frightened,believing at that point that I was looking at something not of this earth.I distinctly remember thinking it was going to shoot down a ray of light to the ice, so I looked beneath it and could clearly see the ice below all of this.I would guess that I probably initially looked at all of this for approx 2 minutes, before seeing the metal part and moving away from the window.We also have! a large picture window overlooking the lake with the drapes wide open and a chandalier type light lighting up this room which was on.I pulled the plug on this light, as I would have had to walk in front of this window to turn off the light at the switch and didn't want to be seen by anyone/anything(As I was alone and stunned by what I was seeing,I didn't know what to do, and had no phone or believe me I would have dialed 911 at that point)!After I pulled the plug to turn off the light, I went to the picture window to close the drapes, and the view from this window prior to closing the drapes was the same as what I have described from the other window.I then went to the room furthest away from the lake,which is by our backdoor, as I wanted to be as far away from whatever was out there as I could be.I stood by the back door for I would guess about 10 minutes, before going back to peek out the patio door,and everything I had described earlier was gone.I never saw any of the lights leave and was deliberately not looking anywhere near those windows as I was afraid, I guess, of what else I might see.After I got over the shock of what I had seen, and was sure that whatever I had seen was gone, I looked more closely out over the lake, and saw a small triangle shape of light(red,green and white lights) all the way across the lake almost to the shoreline directly opposite ours.I have no idea what this was, nor if it was related to what I had seen earlier(although other than the colors being similiar it didn't seem to be related).However, there is no house over there and I have no idea what this could have been.I looked with a pair of binoculars and could clearly make out the lights, but it was very small, even with the binoculars.I didn't see this triangular thing move at all.I looked at it periodically, and it remained there for several hours, as I recall it was still there at 2am and was gone when I looked again about 230am before going to bed.I should also note that we have a dog(3 yr old siberian huskey/yellow lab)w! ho alert s at any type of movement/noise around the cottage, and he did not move at all during this event.I also heard absolutely no noise,nor saw any blowing snow around the lights, which one would expect with any kind of hovering type craft like a helicopter.We had to leave the cottage early the next day to return to our home, and I have not talked with anyone else on the lake to see if they may have seen anything that night.If anyone else did see anything,I will certainly inform you of this. Gazing at southern sky bright celestial object, star or planet assumed. Around it were brief flashes of light, similar to aircraft beacon, however, there was no set rate or location for flashes. Flashes appeared to the right (west); below (south) and above (north) of the stationary celestial object. Lights flashed intermitently white, blue, and red. But as stated above, not in an aircraft like pace, nor position.NUFORC Occurred : 10/21/2000 09:30 Location: Alma, WI Shape: Oval Duration:15seconds white/silver, oval, high altitude high rate of speed While spending a bright blue, clear, warm"for Wisconsin" fall day on the water I took a few moments to soak in the morning sun. I was lying flat on my back looking up hoping to spot some migratory waterfowl. Instead I saw a bright white/silver; oval shaped object surrounded by a blurry haze. It almost seemed as if the haze surrounding the object was moving or flapping. At this point I jumped up to my feet and while pointing I said to my buddy, who was in the front of the boat "What the #### is that". I immediately pointed out the fact that what ever it was it was not leaving a contrail and was moving at a rate of speed faster than any aircraft that I have ever seen. I could not judge the height but I believe it to be at about the height at which one would typically see a commercial jet. The object was moving away from my location towards the north. I watched it until it was to small to see. It did not disappear from moving over the horizon; it seemed to disappear from gaining altitude. I do not know what it was but I do know it is definitely unidentified!NUFORC Occurred : 10/20/2000 21:00 Location: Kenosha, WI Shape: Light Duration:5hours Stars that move erradically and make trails like meteors. Actually this is a typical sighting. ANY clear night in Kenosha County even out my back door I can see at least 3 UFOs moving around. My last sighting was at the Fox River and Highway 50 fishing for Walleyes. I always see UFOs out there. There is an Indian Effigy Mound near there on Highway 83 North of highway 50. It is shaped like a panther and stands for the "water spirit." I have had over 200 sightings since 1996 and have seen a big yellow ship come out of the clouds in 1996 in front of my apartment as big as 4 city blocks with my friend and it lit the whole sky up and shot off at 90 degree angle in milliseconds. So sometimes the UFOs just move around a bit or streak off and make "trails." I have seen two UFOs making a "U" shaped pattern over and over at the Fox River also. I also have been abducted since age 5 and have seen aliens in my room. I still am being abducted and think I being used for genetic experiments and used for sexual purpose for some reason. I observed an object while taking a cigarette break outside at work. I was looking westward, the sun had already begun to set behind the horizon. The object appeared in front of a group of clouds in the western sky. As it appeared it was stationary and became very bright, then it appeared to move a short distance southward. It then stopped, faded and disappeared exactly opposite of how it had appeared. There were no flashing lights, no strobes, nothing that that would identify it as an airplane. I know what airplanes look like, and I've seen a fair share of meteors and this object didn't behave like either. PD))NUFORC Occurred : 9/28/2000 21:00 Location: Oshkosh, WI Shape: Disk Duration:10 seconds Glowing orange flying saucer above UW Oshkosh seen I wanted some fresh air to clear my head, I'm up on the UW Oshkosh campus. I was in Donner Hall. Outside the window was a parking lot and to the left of that was a grass and a bench under a tree. I went outside and layed down on the bench so my feets were towards the building. It was nice. I was staring up through the tree branches (no leaves). From my view an orange clowing like thing came from the left. I saw it and fallowed it through the tree branches wondering what it was. It came out into the clear and it looked like a saucer, just like I see in the movies sort of and it was glowing orange, but it was clear enough to make out and see little ovals that might've been windows. It was a saucer bottom and a little hump in the middle (the way people say they usually look). There was only one and I was the only one that saw this I'm pretty sure. Suddenly as t continued going it did a spiral manuver (flying in a spiral) and disappeared from my sight behind the building (I don't mean it landed). It took me a few minutes to finally realize what I saw. But I DID see it. I told my now ex-girlfriend and my........about it. My girlffriend believed me of course (they believe you all the time), but my......didn't quite believe me. I had some exams that week and I'm attention starved and stuff like that. He tried to convince me that those were the reasons I saw what I saw. In the first place, I wasn't stressed at all. I had a lot on my mind and I did not do this for attention. No way. I can't be 100% sure of what I saw, but I god a damn good look and I saw and didn't imagine it. You don't imagine a glowing orange thing flying over you in the shape of a UFO. I didn't see any scifi movies or anything. It came out of the blue and wasn't even thinking of anythig realated. Sorry this is a late report, but better late than never. I feel kind of special that I saw a UFO.NUFORC Occurred : 8/4/2000 03:00 Location: Springbrook, WI Shape: Light Duration:5 minutes A small red light what seemed to be a radio tower light grew larger and moved above the tree line and finally disappeared. I noticed a red light above the tree line across Gull Lake to the west of where I was standing. I was curious because I didn't think there was a radio tower or anything over there. I asked my cousin Greg what it was and he said he didn't know. We didn't think much of it until it seemed to get bigger (from the haze) and it had moved north. It hovered above the tree line very slowly. Finally it went down behind the trees and it was gone. From the time I had noticed that it had moved I watched it for what I would say was five minutes.NUFORC Occurred : 7/22/2000 22:45 ( Location: La Crosse, WI Shape: Light Duration:6-8 seconds Object appeared in telescope field of view, and executed 90 degree turn before moving out of field of view. Object observed through telescope. Object estimated to be mag. 8.0 to 8.5, blue-white in appearance, observed for 6-8 seconds. Object observed to execute 90 degree turn in field of view of telescope, then exit field of view. Although object appeared to be similar to what a satellite looks like when it shoots across my field of view, satellites do not execute turns. Object did not slow down while turning. Entire turn took 2-3 seconds, and object observed to fly in straight lines 1-2 seconds before and after executing turn. No "running lights" observed. Thus, plus speed of turn and turn radius rule out aircraft of known kind. Turn appeared smooth. Object observed while looking for Comet Linear, approximately 8 degrees from lower "pointer" star in "big dipper" region.NUFORC Occurred : 7/10/2000 19:00 Location: Tomah, WI Shape: Cigar Duration:2-mins A co-worker and I were having our break outside at the factory at which we work. We both saw a cigar shape object to the north and one to the south. They were Sliver in color and this was at 7:PM. Both were travling slowly--too slow to be a plane. They were too low to be a commercial jet. After about a minute and a half of watching them they spead up to a terrific speed and disappeared! We are sure these objects weren't any type of man made craft. It was a real strange event we wittnessed!NUFORC Occurred : 7/3/2000 01:00 Location: Kewaunee, WI Shape: Disk Duration:2-3 minutes Very calm night, saw an orange light from underneath, and on the sides of it. . It made no sound. One night, in the township of Footbridge WI,(just outside of Kewaunee) a friend of mine and I were planning to go fishing in the Kewaunee River. The spot we picked to go is very dark, no lights from houses or street lights. It's basically a dead end parking lot. We were sitting by our cars talking and it was one of those calm nights where you could hear a dog barking from a mile away.The sky was very very clear, all the stars you could see were visable. Minutes prior a jet had flown over us and it was VERY high up in the air, and we could hear it because it was so calm outside. Not more than 20 minutes later, another flying object came through, only, we never saw anything like it. It had an orange glow underneath and to the sides. This craft was no more than an eighth mile high, and unlike the jet, no sound was coming from it. We were probably 1/2 mile from it and we watched it fly over the trees from the east to the west, slowly for about 2 minutes. My friend had then called his brother on his cellphone and asked him to look outside at it. (His brother lived about 2 miles from there). He was already outside watching it and said he could not tell what it was. The way it would jerk around and how close to the trees it flew. From where my friend and I were sitting, the craft went over the treeline and we couldnt see it anymore. His brother watched and he said half a minute later, it completely vanished. It was disk looking and on the lower half of the disk and very bottom it was orange. Strangest and most fascinating thing I ever saw. ((NUFORC Note: Witness elects to remain semi-anonymous. PD))NUFORC Occurred : 6/25/2000 21:00 Location: Little Chute/Appleton, WI Shape: Fireball Duration:10 minutes My sister and I saw this unusual fireball in the sky. My sister and i were driving to the mall when going on to Highway 41 i noticed something oval in the sky.... it looked like a fire ball in the sky. But as we both looked at it closer we could see an oval shape on the top of it and sometimes we could see an oval shape on the bottom of it also. There was a black dot in the front of the fireball. It was below the clouds. travelling up towards the right. as we were going south on highway 41 between N and Wisconsin Ave. I'm not sure what it was and it would make my sister feel better if she found out what it was.NUFORC Occurred : 6/22/2000 22:35 Location: Green Bay, WI Shape: Light Duration:10 minutes Satilite looking dot that would "streak" every minute or so. 06-23-2000 Last night I was out having a smoke watching the SE sky and noticed a light in the corner of my eye. At first I thought it was just a satillite but it blinked in and out - almost a three or four second pulse. When it was not "pulsed" or lit up, it was really hard to see. then my wife noticed a second one. Normally I would just shrug this sighting off as "explainable" until they would "flash" or "streak" What I'm saying is, they kept on their path heading NW (went through Big Dipper - eventually) and as they traveled they would throw off this very bright "Streak" about 10 times longer than they were. It was if they were turning on massive bright "headlights". Pretty neat.NUFORC Occurred : 6/10/2000 13:00 Location: Stevens Point, WI Shape: Circle Duration:15 seceonds Clear translucent sphere traveling at fifty feet high in day light. My two children and I were in the yard on the north side of our home. I looked to the south-west and imediately remarked , "what is that, do you see it ,what is that can you see it?" It traveled from the s-w on a stright corse at about fifty feet alt. uneffected by any air currents ,to my knowledge.We saw it for about three hundred yards , then it went out of sight. It looked like a clear ridgid glass sphere with a light or reflection at the bottom edge. We could see through it or so it apeared. We all went in the house and wrote down what we saw without talking first.This was my idea since I thought I was not sure of what we saw.All the descriptions matched . I recall at a later date reading or hearing about a stealth device which projected on small screens what was on the opposite side.Giving the allusion of looking through an object. PD)) .....my notes.....i saw this far, far off in the sky, and wouldn't have noticed it at all except i happened to stare at the same area for awhile, and noticed that this 'star' was very slowly moving. i'm not sure of the exact time, but at this point it was quite dim, like a star on it's way out...quite a clever disguise...i had seen this once before about 5 years ago, and pretty much just as soon as i started thinking about how 5 years ago the 'star' turned into an EXTREMELY bright spherical row of lights (stadium lights), this 'star' did the same...these were very obviously seperated lights, not any kind of trail from a shooting star...i've seen plenty of shooting stars when i was younger up north, and this was nothing like those...even though this was very far off in the distance, once the 'star' turned to the bright lights, they were almost blinding....then it just 'hovered' for maybe 20-40 seconds, and it kind of freaked me out, as i got the sensation that whatever it was, be it government, alien or spirit, it felt like i was being watched, and as soon as i thought this it turned back into the 'star' started moving quite fast and just disappeared .....i was letting my dogs out when i saw this.....also, when it shifted appearances, it was like it was 'morphing', like it was actually taking on different properties....i'm surprised not more people noticed it, at least the little while that it was so incredibly bright, but i suppose the majority of city people don't care about nature anymore ((NUFORC Note: This report is submitted anonymously. It emitted 3 dim beams of light downward while it also had a "plus" shape of lights in a row of 3 one way and 4 the other way. As I watched it, it gently moved away from me, and made no noise at all. It did not speed away, it barely moved. Very interesting. Not in a flight pattern as I had just come from the airport and flew in from Chicago as well.NUFORC Occurred : 5/20/2000 14:27 Location: Viola, WI Shape: Cigar Duration:5 to 10 sec. white rod shaped object flying lower than small plane viewed by one person during outdoor graduation ceremony I was sitting in a bleachers viewing an outdoor graduation ceremony. I heard an airplane noise coming from behind me (I sat facing directly west). After scanning the skies briefly and seeing no plane, my eyes fell upon a long, white or light silver colored object gliding quickly, steadily from northwest to south east. I probably watched it for 10, maybe even 15 seconds. It seemed to fade in and out of visibility, but would always be where it should have been on a regular path. It did not reappear where it had disappeared. Then a small plane did fly over, and the object disappeared for good, but it was clear that the object was lower than the plane. It was a light sunny day, few clouds. It was clear that the object had been traveling faster than the airplane (some sort of small plane) was. I did not point this out to anyone in the crowd, and evidently i was the only one who noticed. Car Suddenly killed and I had to coast to a stop. Car refused to start. I got out to lift up the hood. I heard a sound coming down the road from the east. I looked and it was a disk shape object that looked like a huge top spinning on the road. I ran inside my car and looked at it and it suddenly became airborne. It shot sraight up. It did this at about 75 yards from my car. It scared the living hell out of me. I did not tell anyone because they would not beleive me. I will never travel this road again .I had to report this to someone and I thought this was the best place. Also object made a humming sound as it traveled on the road. We saw Two Lights gather in the north sky. The lights seemed to hover and move ever so slightly towards us. I kept watching one while driving and as it was moving east it suddenly disappeared. I know it was not helicopters - they do not move like what I saw and unless it was an experitmental aircraft I saw some UFOsNUFORC Occurred : 2/6/2000 22:30 Location: LaCrosse (3-3.5 miles south of; Goose Island Park), WI Shape: Unknown Duration:5 minutes Driving south on Hwy35,Isaw what appeared to be an air craft crossing the Mississippi river with two white lights which did not strobe.Mississippi river mile marker 691.It crossed the main channel and dropped in altitude slowed below the stall speed of an air plane.as it moved east towards Hwy,35 It stopped over goose island park,the southern end .I pulled over at park entrance which I believe closes at 10:00pm Then the two white lights went out,for about 15 seconds,then on moved slowly stopped lights out and after the third time stopped and started to descend below the tree line,and its light's went out.I drove south. The two white light's kept at an equal distance even when turned on again,I opened my window and could hear no helicopter sound and the lighte were spaced too far apart for any helicopter fuselage.There were four cars ahead of me going south they all slowed down but no one pulled over .I wish I would have drove down to the southern end of the park wear there is a boat landing.It would have been worth the fine!I believe it did land.If you are looking for landing site trace evidence this would in my opinion be a likly spot,Before we get anymore snow!NUFORC |
