Hercules-Wolf Clans- Nagas and Horned Giants

The ancestors of the Winnebago traded animal hides and meat with the ‘Lords of Aztalan’. It was from the Lords of Aztalan, the Winnebago were given the
story about the ancient origins of the Wolf Clans, whose leader dwelt in 'a great lodge' on an island in the ocean to the east.  This progenitor had ten sons, one
of whom came to Turtle Island (North America) with his clansmen and women.

In time, they intermarried with the natives and established four new clans: the White Wolf, Green Hair, Gray Wolf, and Black Wolf. The quartet was so
named to commemorate the Four Cardinal Directions which streamed out from their oceanic homeland at the center of the world. The first child born in this new
land was called 'Wave' after the bow-wave of the boat that brought them from the great lodge.

Another version is that the original Wolf brothers appeared from the bottom of the ocean,' where their ancestral island had been swallowed up by a terrible
deluge’. As the disturbed seas began to calm down, the Wakt’cexi, a water spirit arose from the waves wearing a horned helmet and led the survivors across
the ocean on improvised rafts to the new land. Thereafter, all the Wolf clans were known as Water Clans.
In Phoenician tradition ‘Kadesh is Atlantis’. Kadesh is also known as ‘Gades’ or ‘Gadeiros’ and is also the name of ‘Hercules’, ‘co-ruler of Atlantis’.
Both names ‘Gadeiros’ and ‘Hercules’ mean ‘Cow-herder’, which is a Phoenician translation of the name ‘Govinda’ who is ‘Krishna, the great god of the Hindus’.
The epithet commemorates the role of Hercules as ‘the cow-herder leading ‘Gods’ people out of Atlantis during the days of its destruction.’
Hercules was the Native American Indian hero Wakt’cexi.

The Central Algonquian Indians have two stories of Hercules (Wakt’cexi), connecting him to ‘North America’, ‘Land of the Nagas’ (Serpentine people), the North
American ‘Thunder Birds’ and the ‘Sinking of Atlantis’.

In a Wisaka (Wakt’ cexi) legend told by the Fox Indians, (also known as the Musquakie) the Earth mother, ‘He-nau-ee’, fell from the sky during a thunderstorm
and landed on a blue green island, ripe with acorns and berries. In eighty days, she gave birth to two sons, (Wisaka and Yapato-e) who grew into men in
several hours.

Wisaka and his twin brother watched the ‘Earth Mother’ sink into the sea while they paddled away in a canoe. After creating a spear from a tree, and placing a
jewel in a knot of hair, they killed and skinned an evil black wolf.
Eventually they came to a large lake, near a town of old women, one of which built them a boat. While the twins were cruising out in the lake, a large white-
scaled horned serpent breathed fire upon them and they were severely burned. ‘Hot Hand’ then spits upon the wounds of his brother’s hands and they heal
instantly.

At one time, two effigy mounds of giant proportions could be found representing the Winnebago’s horned Wakt'cexi. One of these geoglyphs still exists, on the
slope of a hill outside Baraboo, only forty five miles from Lake Mills and Rock Lake. The giant is 214 feet long and thirty feet across at the shoulders. His
horned helmet identifies him as the Wakt'cexi deluge hero. Another effigy was found in LaValle, Wisconsin, but was destroyed by the waters of a dam.

HORNED GIANT EFFIGIES  AND ANCIENT COPPER MINERS

The North American Horned Giant effigy is repeated in Britain’s counterpart, ‘The Long Man of Wilmington’, depicting a 300 foot man.
Another horned giant can be found in Egypt on the walls of the Victory Temple of Rameses III, depicting a 300 year old battle with showing warriors wearing
horned helmets.

The Algonkian Tribes tell of the Great Serpent traveling the Mississippi in search of cooper, which they had an enormous appetite for.
The Menomonie described the ‘Lords of Aztalan’ as light-skinned foreign people, who search for copper bearing veins by throwing down ‘magical stones’ they
called ‘the Yuwipi’. When struck these stones would ring out a sound, just like the sound of brass being hit.

When shown copper axes excavated from a mound in the late eighteen century, the Chippewa elders explained that they were made by the white men who
mined for copper.

The Oneida call themselves ‘the Onyota’a”ka, which means ‘the Stone People’. To this day, each Oneida village gathers at a large rock they call the ‘sacred
tree’ to conduct their ceremonial activities.  (The description 'Stone People' is very similar to the Burlington Native American who described the 'Hu-Kadesh' as
'builders of stone')

Belt of Hiawatha
Hiawatha's Belt" was composed of five figures. In the center was the sacred tree, which looks very much like a pyramid.

The symbolism of Hiawatha’s belt represents the five original tribes. From left to right they represent the:

•        Seneca -  the Keepers of the Western Door
•        Cayuga- the People of the Marsh (reeds) and Keepers of the Great Pipe, made from the sacred red stone, which symbolizes ‘The Old Red Land’
•        Onondaga - the Name Bearers who kept the wampum belt that contained the history of the Iroquois
•        Oneida -  the Stone People symbolized by the Great Tree
•        Mohawk - the Keepers of the Eastern Door
